Become an approved supplier

An approved supplier can be one of the following:

Suppliers can only supply pharmaceutical benefit items from a properly written prescription or, in limited circumstances, the communication of a prescription (which must be forwarded to the supplier later).

Suppliers are also responsible for making entries on prescription record forms presented by patients.

Some private and public hospitals are approved to use a ward chart system for prescribing medications.
